T. D. Jakes experiences health scare

Bishop T. D. Jakes, on November 24th, 2024, experienced a health scare during his Sunday sermon at The Potter’s House Church in Dallas, Texas.

Social media footage revealed that Jakes’ motions halted as he concluded his speech with a prayer.

With ragged breaths, Jakes prayed: “May the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord”.

He lowered the microphone gently and bent his head, adding: “Let them go in peace, my strength and my redeemer”.

The bishop’s body shook uncomfortably shortly after, and his head started to bounce back and forth.

Church leaders rushed to his aid, and the livestream was cut off.

According to a Facebook message from The Potter’s House, the well-known author and preacher is presently in stable condition after receiving prompt medical assistance.

The online message partly read: “Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals.

“The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community.

“Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers”, the statement added.

The church neither disclosed if Jakes was hospitalized nor what may have led to the incident.
