Tragic Loss: Nigerian physiotherapist and PhD student, Chukwudi Ogbueche-Ifediora, passes away in the UK

The news of Chukwudi’s passing was shared by his grieving brother, @DedeUmuahia, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. This heart-wrenching revelation came in the wake of the recent tragedy involving Saheed Wahab, another Nigerian who tragically lost his life just 24 hours after arriving in the UK for postgraduate studies.
Expressing the depth of sorrow, @DedeUmuahia disclosed that Chukwudi’s body is yet to be repatriated to his home country. The emotional post also included a poignant reflection on the hardships faced by Nigerians seeking opportunities abroad. “Sad to say my brother is on this list @IfedioraChuddy’s body is yet to be conveyed back to his home country. Like my dad said, ‘if the country is good, tell me why we would have to go fend in another man’s land??'” wrote Dede.
Prior to the tragic incident, Chukwudi Ogbueche-Ifediora had been immersed in his pursuit of knowledge as a PhD student at Glasgow Caledonian University.
