University Don, Sampson Weds Heartrob, Ugonma in Grand Style

On Saturday April 12, 2025 – Love, culture, and elegance were on full display as Amb. Comr. Igbokwe, Sampson C; a former student Student Union President at Michael Okpara University and distinguished lecturer at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, tied the knot with his gorgeous bride and CEO Pixeldustbeauty; Ugomma Francisca Isiguzo, a celebrated Owerri-based skincare Therapist and makeup Artist.

The lavish celebration took place at the prestigious CIELO Event Centre, Owerri, and attracted an impressive array of dignitaries, academics, clergy, and entertainment icons.

The grand ceremony was chaired by Hon. Prince Osinachi Amako, CEO of NOVEX Group of Companies, who applauded the couple for their commitment to building a purposeful and faith-driven life together.

He encouraged them to nurture their union with mutual respect, communication, and enduring love.

Royalty blessed the day with their presence, led by HRH Eze Reginald Amadi, Obo 1 of Obetiti autonomous community who served as the Royal Father of the Day.

The couple also received special blessings and traditional honor from their marriage sponsor, HRM Eze Lucky Okorocha, the Ezeala II of Akabo Autonomous Community.

Prominent political and traditional figures such as Dr. Kachi Nwoga, 2023 ADP governorship candidate in Imo State, and HRH Eze Desmond Diala, the Ezeudo II of Obodo Ujichi, added prestige to the ceremony with their goodwill messages and powerful presence.

Representing the academic community in grand fashion, colleagues and students from the Faculty of Science, Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, came out in their numbers to celebrate one of their finest minds.

Their participation underscored the groom’s sterling reputation in the world of academia.

spirituality was also not in lack as Pastor James Anugwem of Winners Chapel Nkwogwu was present to celebrate with the newly wed.

Pastor Newton of winners chapel Egbu and a host of other clergies were there to cheer the couple up.

In a colorful and glamorous turn, Nollywood stars also graced the event, bringing a dose of stardust to the already vibrant atmosphere.

Celebrities in attendance included Urenna Juliet, Iwuji Williams, Jericho, Faith Wendy, De Game, Odochi Williams, Ogwa na Ogwa, and Eaglechuks — all of whom lit up the celebration with their signature flair and excitement.

Guests were treated to a breathtaking reception, rich in tradition, music, and joy, as the couple danced their way into a new chapter of life.

Amb. Comr. Sampson, beaming with pride and gratitude, thanked everyone for their unwavering support, while Ugomma, radiant in beauty and grace, expressed deep appreciation to family, friends, and well-wishers for their love.

The wedding was truly a fusion of love, intellect, royalty, and glamour — a celebration to remember, held in the heart of Owerri on a day that will be cherished forever.

However, the officiating priest, Pastor Isaac Newton of Winners Chapel , Egbu while ministering said Marriage is for better to better and not better to worse.

Anchoring his teaching from the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 4, from verse 9 to 12 which says two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour. For if one falls, the other will lift up its fellow.

Pastor Newton said God who introduced marriage never associated evil with marriage because his thoughts towards us are the thought of good and not of evil Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11.

He said marriage is a good thing, favourable, Honourable, sweet and dignified.

Newton noted that the coefficient of marriage is one plus one is equal to one and admonished the couple to avoid third party in their marriage whoever they may be.

He advised them to submit to one another in love as Christ love the church urging them to say positive things to their marriage.

He said as long as they continue to obey the commandments of God concerning marriage, it will work, be sweet, enjoyable and sustainable.

While administering the marriage vow, the bride Ugonma vowed to be an anchor in chaos, calm in the storm, and biggest believer when the world feels unsure to her husband Sampson.

She promised to love her husband not only in the light, but in the shadows too and to hold his dreams as gently as his fears.

“I will walk with you through every uncertainty, dance with you through every joy, and build a life where laughter echoes louder than doubt.

“You are my steady ground and my wildest leap, my quiet comfort and my boldest adventure.

“No matter where time takes us, this I swear: my soul has always known yours. With this ring, I give you my heart—today, tomorrow, and for all the days after”, Ugomma stated.

The groom, Sampson in the same vein vowed to be a great partner in every sense of the word and to lift her up when she doubts herself, to stand beside her when life feels heavy, and to laugh with her even when the world feels too serious.

He promised to honor her strength, protect her heart, and cherish the person she is, today and always.

“I will be your safe place, your fiercest defender, and your best friend. Through every high and low, I’ll choose you.

” Through every sunset and sunrise, I’ll love you. You are my compass, my peace, and my greatest blessing.

” From this day forward, I am yours—fully, completely, and forever”, Sampson vowed.
