WAEI celebrates International Day of the Girl Child with outreach & health talk
On October 11, 2024, the Abuja chapter of the Women Aspire Empowerment Initiative (WAEI) proudly celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with a meaningful outreach program focused on personal hygiene and sex education.
This initiative underscores our commitment to empowering young girls and equipping them with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.
The event attracted over 300 girls from the local community, providing them with vital information on personal hygiene practices and sex education.
Our dedicated team facilitated engaging discussions, ensuring that each girl felt comfortable and encouraged to ask questions.
We believe that education is a powerful tool for breaking down stigma and fostering confidence among young girls.
In addition to the informative sessions, WAEI distributed essential supplies, including sanitary pads and bathing soaps, to ensure that every participant has access to basic hygiene products.
We recognize that access to these items is crucial for maintaining health and dignity, especially for young girls.
The day was filled with empowerment, laughter, and learning, as girls came together to celebrate their rights and potential.
We are immensely grateful to our volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible.
Your support helps us continue our mission of uplifting women and girls in our community.
As we reflect on this impactful day, we are reminded of the importance of investing in the next generation.
Together, we can create a world where every girl has the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.
Join us in our ongoing efforts to empower young girls and advocate for their rights.
Let’s continue to raise awareness and promote education that inspires change.
