We are being paid to serve Nigerians – AIG

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Usman Tilli in charge of zone 3 command while addressing Journalists at police officers Mess in Yola ,reminded Nigerians that every Policeman in the country is under a salary to serve the people of Nigeria.

Stressing that Nigerians should work hand-in-hand with the police force so that a strong synergy of relationship will be created between the police and the civic society. Which it will further chase away hoodlums in a particular environment.

Tilli  said this in a kick-off workshop organized for the Men of State Anti Robbery squad (SARS) comprising of Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe which made up the zone 3 of the command.

According to him the workshop is necessary and important at this time in order to remind them of the core motive of why SARS was created in the country.

“We do, from time to time remind our Men  not to forget the mission and vision of why they belong to SARS, we have to tell them to always refresh their mode of operations to combat crime in our community”. He said

“As you all know and still remind you the same thing that “Police is Your friend “we want all people in our various communities to unite with the police to achieve success in fighting all kind of crimes in our society “. He added

The capacity building workshop  draw up resource persons within and outside the state.
