A human rights activist and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku, has stated that the immediate former governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, was completely incompetent and clueless throughout his 8- year tenure as an executive governor of Abia State.

According to him, the former governor is extremely deceitful and was elected and entrusted the power of governance but declined to be focused on dividends of leadership, human capacity development, infrastructural development, payment of salaries, probity and accountability.

Njoku, who was reacting to the utterances of the former governor stressed that, “Ikpeazu should hide his face in shame and apologize to Abians for his naivety, extreme deceit, consequential clueless gesture and gross incompetence as governor of Abia State.

“In a bid to unknowingly manifest his inconsistent and unreliable personality traits, he refused to confide to his party stooges that he is endlessly waiting for a political appointment in the President Tinubu APC-led government yet preaching reconciliation for those who left the PDP..

“Ikpeazu has failed to realize that most people leaving the PDP are doing so because of the disdain they have for him including his total lack of control of the party. I am astonished that he does not know that essential personalities are leaving the psrty because he is entrusting the party management to his stooges’.
.
The civil rights activist challenged the former governor to proof that he funded both the 2023 PDP governorship flag-bearers, late Professor Uchenna Ikonne and Mr. Okey Ahiwe to actually win the elections.

In his words, he said, “Ikpeazu lacks the leadership and electoral values in all strata.. Can he ever win an election? I was born and bred here and I have spent half of my life in Umuahia.

“I am not resident in the diaspora. I challenge Ikpeazu to proof that he funded both the 2023 PDP governorship flag-bearers, late Professor Uchenna Ikonne and Mr. Okey Ahiwe to actually win the elections. Lies cannot prevail all the time.

“I also challenge the former governor to show evidence to those around him of mobilization and efforts made by him to reconcile party members before the primaries and subsequent elections.

“I advise Ikpeazu to toe the part of self dignity by shutting–up his mouth and stop reminding Abians of his existence.

“There are a lot of information of his uncouth betrayal of Professor Ikonne which abounds. He should not be reminding people of his journey to his filthy pursuit.

“He was completely an incompetent governor who was elected and entrusted the power of governance but declined to be focused on the dividends of leadership, human capital development, infrastructural development, payment of salaries, payment of pensions, probity and accountability even as no one prevented him to write his name in gold as a governor with constitutional and executive powers to deliver.

“Suffice to say that despite not fulfilling any of his campaign promises, his unprovoked tirades and tantrums against the PDP decampees lack originality and comprehensivess having singlehandedly destroyed Abia equity and political formation by his dangerous negotiations and lily- livered alignment with his pretentious allies who could not see him elected as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under his party platform.

” I make bold to say that Ikpeazu’s sychophantic and notable wide-ranging overview of the political activities of his insidious government that superintended over the affairs of Abia State from 2015-2023 cannot be over- emphasized as he has permanently suffered immense political dislocation, relevance and credibility to swiftly sing a vicissitude of fortune and hope”.

Recall that the immediate-past governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu and the state party chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Elder Amah Abraham, were on Saturday, January 25, chastised PDP decampees as hungry elements who cannot endure hunger and suffering cosmic consequences.

Addressing Abia South faithful in his Obingwa country home on Saturday, when the state PDP Working Committee paid him a visit, they said the party has learnt its lessons and will not fail again.

Ikpeazu said, “We did to ourselves what is happening to us. If we want to correct it, we can. When I was hosting the Reconciliation Committee, I told them that their mandate by my own interpretation is not to reconcile aggrieved party people alone.

“Something is holding everybody, including me. This is because, anybody who has not reconciled himself, cannot reconcile another person”.
