An angry mob has burnt to death an Okada rider – commercial motorcyclist – at Finger bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The Okada rider, who was accused of robbery, met his waterloo on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the okada rider and another man on the motorcycle allegedly robbed some pedestrians and thereafter attempted to escape.

Some policemen on patrol reportedly chase after them and in the process shot the man behind the okada rider.

He fell off and was apprehended.

Some pedestrians were said to have waylaid the fleeing okada rider, after which a mob set him ablaze.

The suspect and his motorcycle were reportedly burnt beyond recognition, before policemen arrived at the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, the two wanted to escape on the motorcycle after dispossessing some pedestrians of their belongings.

They were reportedly armed with guns and when the policemen intercepted them, the motorcyclist did not stop.

An angry mob, though, waylaid him, beat him to stupor and set him on fire.
