Oyebanji partners with PMI to boost Ekiti’s electricity access

Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria – Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State recently reaffirmed his commitment to expanding electricity access after strategic talks with the Presidential Metering Initiative (PMI). During the Ado-Ekiti meeting, both parties prioritized collaboration to resolve metering gaps and ensure fair energy distribution.

Led by Engr. Lawal Lawal, the PMI delegation emphasized their goal to close Nigeria’s metering deficit, aligning with federal efforts to improve transparency in power consumption. Governor Oyebanji immediately pledged state support, stressing that widespread metering would enhance accountability and service quality. “Our investments in electricity infrastructure must directly benefit residents,” he declared, underscoring the initiative’s alignment with his vision for reliable, affordable power.
