Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has reportedly linked federal intervention in the state’s erosion crisis to support for President Bola Tinubu.
“The erosion happening in Anambra is beyond the state’s capacity. It requires federal intervention, and that is why we need to vote for Tinubu. If we fail to vote for President Tinubu, there will be consequence,” Soludo was quoted as saying.
The governor’s reported remarks have drawn attention to the scale of erosion in Anambra, where several communities face threats to homes, roads and other infrastructure.
Soludo has previously called for federal assistance, arguing that the environmental challenge requires resources beyond what the state government can provide alone.
However, the context of the viral quote and the circumstances in which Soludo made the statement have not been independently verified.
