Manchester United ended their Asia tour with a 3-1 comeback win against the Hong Kong national team.

The match may have marked the final appearance of club captain Bruno Fernandes in a United shirt, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports.

United were under pressure after a shocking 1-0 loss to the ASEAN All-Stars just two days earlier.

They started poorly again, conceding to a team ranked 153rd in the FIFA world rankings.

Hong Kong’s Juninho scored early, beating goalkeeper Tom Heaton at his near post to give the hosts the lead.

Despite fielding stars like Fernandes, Casemiro, Garnacho, and Højlund, United lacked cohesion throughout the first half.

Fernandes attempted a rabona finish when clean through on goal but missed a clear opportunity to equalize.

He was substituted at halftime, possibly marking the end of his on-field United career.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the second half brought a turning point for United.

Seventeen-year-old Chido Obi, a former Arsenal academy player, scored his first senior goal just four minutes after the break.

Obi’s composed finish brought United level and breathed life into the struggling team.

He struck again in the 80th minute, heading in a Mason Mount cross to give United the lead.

In added time, academy defender Ayden Heaven sealed the win with a powerful header, ending the game 3-1.

The victory helped United avoid further embarrassment following a dismal season and offered a small morale boost.

United finished 15th in the Premier League, their worst league result in over fifty years.

Attention now turns to Fernandes, whose future at the club remains uncertain amid ongoing transfer rumors.

Fernandes has been a key figure since his £47 million move from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.

He is widely seen as United’s best post-Ferguson signing, known for his leadership and consistent performances.

Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal is reportedly pursuing Fernandes with a £100 million bid to Manchester United.

They are also offering him an eye-watering £700,000-a-week salary to join their squad.

Sources say his representatives have already met with Saudi officials to discuss the proposed transfer.

Al-Hilal aims to complete the deal before the FIFA Club World Cup begins.

If finalized, Fernandes’ departure would end a four-year spell that significantly shaped the club’s recent history.

His exit would also reflect Saudi Arabia’s continued success in attracting top European players.

Manchester United fans now wait anxiously to see if their captain will stay or move on.
