According to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Mobilisation Directorate, lent is a season of prayer, fasting, and reflection observed by Christians worldwide.

“Historically, Lent commemorates the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the wilderness.

“It is a time for spiritual renewal, self-denial, and preparation for Easter celebrations.” Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is calling on Nigerians to combine prayer with action during this sacred period.

“Faith without action is dead, as stated in James 2:26,” the directorate stated.

Praying for Nigeria is important, but taking steps to bring positive change is equally essential.

Nigeria faces economic hardship, insecurity, and a leadership crisis affecting millions of citizens.

The ADC Mobilisation Directorate urges Nigerians to seek divine intervention for the country’s restoration.

A nation’s transformation begins when its people humble themselves and call upon God for guidance.

The Bible in 2 Chronicles 7:14 emphasizes the power of collective repentance and prayer.

This Lenten season is an opportunity for Nigerians to ask for God’s mercy and intervention.

A Time for National Reflection

Nigeria is a nation blessed with natural and human resources.

Despite its potential, poverty, unemployment, and corruption continue to hinder progress.

The suffering masses struggle with inflation, insecurity, and deteriorating infrastructure.

ADC believes that true leadership must be rooted in selflessness, integrity, and justice.

This Lent, citizens must reflect on their role in shaping Nigeria’s future.

Biblical history shows that great leaders emerged during times of crisis.

Moses led the Israelites out of slavery through divine guidance.

Esther risked her life to save her people from destruction.

Daniel remained steadfast in faith despite opposition and persecution.

These figures did not remain passive; they took decisive action for the good of their people.

Likewise, Nigerians must be ready to rise when called upon to serve.

Praying for Righteous Leadership

The ADC Mobilisation Directorate calls for prayers for selfless, God-fearing leaders.

Nigeria’s leadership crisis has contributed to the nation’s prolonged struggles.

Righteous governance is necessary for economic stability and national progress.

Corrupt leadership has deprived millions of citizens of basic rights and opportunities.

Esther 4:14 reminds believers that divine purpose requires courage and action.

ADC urges Nigerians to actively support leaders who prioritize national interest over personal gain.

Prayer must be accompanied by civic responsibility and political engagement.

The destiny of Nigeria depends on the choices made by its people.

Beyond Prayer: Taking Action for Nigeria

Lent is not only about personal spiritual growth but also about national transformation.

ADC encourages Nigerians to use this season for soul-searching and responsible action.

Fasting should inspire self-sacrifice and service to the community.

The suffering masses need help beyond words and prayers.

Acts of charity, advocacy, and justice must define this period.

ADC believes that every citizen has a role in promoting peace and development.

Holding leaders accountable is a duty that must not be ignored.

Social justice and economic empowerment should be priorities for all Nigerians.

ADC calls on citizens to support policies that uplift the poor and vulnerable.

Faithful action will lead to meaningful change in Nigeria’s governance.

A united people can achieve national transformation.

Lent teaches perseverance, faith, and renewal in the face of adversity.

Nigeria can overcome its current challenges through collective faith and action.

Just as Jesus endured the wilderness, Nigerians must endure and fight for a better future.

ADC remains committed to mobilizing citizens for justice, integrity, and good governance.

Prayer alone is not enough; responsible participation in national affairs is necessary.

As Lent progresses, Nigerians must rise to the call of duty.

Faith, prayer, and decisive action will shape Nigeria’s destiny.

The time for change is now, and every effort counts.

Will Nigerians answer the call to restore their nation?
