The world of football is a lucrative one, with top footballers earning astronomical amounts weekly.

Among the highest paid footballers in Africa, Sadio Mane takes the top spot, earning a staggering £661,000 per week.

The Senegalese forward, who plays with the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi club, Al Nassr, has for close to a decade consistently demonstrated his exceptional skills on the field, making him a valuable asset to any team he plies his trade for.

He switched to Saudi Arabia from German giants, FC Bayern Munchen.

The fleet-footed forward had previously played for Liverpool Football Club and Southampton FC which he joined from RB Salzburg.

He enjoyed a trophy laden career at Liverpool.

Following closely behind Mane is Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez, who takes home £481,000 weekly.

Another Senegalese player, Kalidou Koulibaly, ranks third, earning £412,000 per week.

The former Napoli defender plays for Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro league.
