Chelsea FC has confirmed that forward Louna Ribadeira will spend the remainder of the 2024/25 season on loan at Everton.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the 20-year-old forward completed the move, with the Blues making an official announcement on their website.

Ribadeira originally joined Chelsea on a four-year contract in the summer from Paris FC, where she was subsequently loaned back for the first part of the campaign.

During her time at Paris FC, she made two appearances and scored once.

Ribadeira arrived at Chelsea with notable experience despite being in the early stages of her professional career.

She had already played 60 senior club matches and earned her debut for the French national team in a 2-1 victory over England in May.

Her impressive performances in the 2023/24 season for Paris FC were rewarded with recognition, as she scored eight goals in 24 appearances and was named Division 1 Féminine Young Player of the Year.

In addition to her club achievements, Ribadeira had a stellar youth international career, reaching the final of the U-17 Euros and making the semi-final of the 2023 U-19 Euros, where she was not only the top scorer but also named Player of the Tournament.

Chelsea’s decision to send Ribadeira on loan to Everton provides the young forward with the opportunity to experience Women’s Super League football.

The Toffees, currently in ninth place in the league, will offer Ribadeira a chance to gain valuable playing time, which she might not have been able to secure at Chelsea due to the competition for spots in the team.

This loan spell is an important step in Ribadeira’s development as she continues to grow as a player.

While it may not be the ideal situation for her at Chelsea, it offers a realistic opportunity for her to showcase her talent on a more consistent basis.

Chelsea will undoubtedly be monitoring her progress throughout her time at Everton and hopes that this experience will aid her in achieving further success in the future.

Everyone at Chelsea wishes Louna Ribadeira the best during her loan spell at Everton and looks forward to seeing how her career progresses.
