COPDEM: My Journey to Anambra for DDM journalism workshop
By kusa Faruk
On Sunday, I embarked on a transformative journey from Shendam, Plateau State, to Awka, Anambra State, covering a distance of approximately 740 kilometers. The journey, which took two days to complete, was a test of my resolve and resilience.
Overcoming challenges
The journey was not without its hurdles. The road conditions were less than ideal, and I faced exhaustion and fatigue along the way. Initially, I thought it would be a one-day journey, but the challenges I encountered made it a two-day journey. Despite these challenges, I remained steadfast, relying on divine providence to see me through.
A new environment, new experiences
Upon arrival, I was struck by the warmth and hospitality of the Anambra people. The rich cultural heritage and breathtaking scenery of the state left me in awe.
The Diaspora Digital Media capacity building workshop has been an eye-opening experience, offering invaluable insights into digital media.
Conclusion
As I reflect on my journey, I’m reminded that growth often requires embracing uncertainty. I’m grateful for this experience and look forward to sharing my new found knowledge with others.
Special appreciation
I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the organizers of the DDM Training, particularly COPDEM for providing me with this opportunity. Your efforts to empower young minds are truly commendable.
