Iran Warns US To ‘Be Careful’ After Trump’s Threat Over Hezbollah

Iran has cautioned the United States against issuing threats, following remarks by US President Donald Trump suggesting Washington could take military action against Tehran over its backing of Hezbollah.

Speaking on Sunday, Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, dismissed the threats and said the country was prepared to respond if necessary.

“If these threats were effective, the United States would not be in the position it is today,” Ghalibaf said.

“We do not take American threats seriously. They should be careful with their statements because our armed forces are ready to respond in a different way. Whatever they say, we will act accordingly.”

His comments came shortly after Trump warned that Iran could face renewed attacks if it continued supporting Hezbollah and other allied groups in the region.

The exchange adds to growing tensions between Washington and Tehran, even as both sides remain engaged in diplomatic efforts aimed at easing conflicts across the Middle East.

The warning was issued as Iranian officials arrived in Switzerland for talks focused on regional security and efforts to prevent further escalation in the ongoing crisis.
