(DDM) – Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has praised security agencies for their swift and effective action in rescuing the kidnapped Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Bagudo.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that Bagudo was abducted earlier this week under circumstances that raised concern among lawmakers, residents, and civil society organizations across Kebbi State.
Governor Idris described the successful rescue operation as a “testament to the professionalism, dedication, and bravery” of the state’s security personnel.
He added that the efforts demonstrate the government’s commitment to protecting public officials and maintaining law and order in the state.
Security sources revealed to DDM that operatives executed coordinated intelligence-led operations across multiple locations in Kebbi, which ultimately led to the safe recovery of the lawmaker without harm.
The governor also commended the collaboration between local security outfits and federal agencies, noting that the joint effort underscores the importance of synergy in combating kidnapping and criminal activities in the region.
Residents of Kebbi State expressed relief at the news of Bagudo’s safe return, with many describing the incident as a wake-up call for improved security measures across the state.
