Legendary Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has paid a heartfelt tribute to fellow actor Alexx Ekubo, reflecting on their memorable encounters and the impression he left behind.
In an emotional message, Edochie recalled meeting Ekubo on three different occasions, describing him as someone who made a lasting impact wherever he went.
“Alexx Ekubo came, he saw, and he left an indelible impression. I met him three times. On the first occasion, he arrived at my hotel with a big cow and a group of Ogene drummers to invite me to an event,” he said.
He further revealed that Ekubo had been planning a grand celebration for his upcoming 80th birthday, a gesture that now remains unfulfilled.
“I was told he had big plans for my 80th birthday celebration next year, but unfortunately, he is gone,” Edochie added.
The veteran actor also spoke on loyalty and friendship, noting that actor IK Ogbonna stood out as a true friend both in life and in death.
