Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, has made a profound declaration of his unwavering commitment to his wife Margaret Brownson, stating “I won’t leave my wife even if she cheats.”

In a recent interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Obi emphasized that his dedication to his wife remains unshakeable, regardless of any circumstances that may arise, including infidelity.

According to the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Obi’s stance on marriage is rooted in his strong values and belief in the sanctity of the institution.

The former Anambra governor publicly stated that even if his wife were to cheat on him, he would not consider divorce.

Peter Obi while speaking said “no matter what my wife does today, I can’t separate from her. Even if she carries a gun and shoots me, as long as I’m alive, she will continue to be my wife.

“No matter what she does, I won’t go for another woman.She’s my wife. Whatever she wishes, let her do it because what will she do to offend me?,” Peter Obi stated.

Maybe she cheats on me? That’s her business. It’s not me. They won’t say the two of us have an affair.”

“They would only call me a very good man who married a woman who is promiscuous.”

“You can’t compare my life with that of my wife or children. We have different lifestyles.”

“Sometimes, when I’m traveling with my wife, we are in the same plane but in different classes. She is in business class while I’m in economy class. This happens because it suits her and it doesn’t affect my interests.”

Peter Obi and Margaret have been married for over 30 years.

“Obi’s declaration has sparked interest and admiration from many, highlighting the importance of commitment and loyalty in relationships,” the Nation reported.
