Thousands of Shia Muslims stage protests in Kano, Bauchi

Thousands of Nigerian Shiites have staged protest in different countries including the largest march in Kano city, and similar in Bauchi after the merciless killings, arson, and plunder carried out by Nigerian Army on members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria and subsequent arrest of the leader of the movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky,

According to the participants of protests, the killing is long premeditated and masterminded by Zionist regime, previous regimes have all tried in vain to tackle the movement.

“The Nigerian Army lied to the world, but the reality of the killings goes back to Sheikh Zakzaky’s stand against injustice and oppression of any type.”

Senior Iraqi Shiite cleric and the Leader of the Sadrist Movement, Moqtada al-Sadr on Monday strongly criticized the Nigerian security authorities attack on the house of a Nigerian.

Shiite cleric, Ibrahim al-Zakzaky as called for his followers to go out in protest demonstrations on the incident next Friday.

Sadr said in a statement posted on his official website, that “what happened today from terrorism and state terrorism in Nigeria is a serious and dangerous,” adding that “the government turned to ISIS terrorism at is the first approach and the way to kill Shiites without the guilt. “

Sadr noted that ” attacking unarmed supporters of Sheikh al-Zakzaky and intentionality arrest him and hide or kill him without guilt, just because they are Opponents then where is the freedom and democracy” ?, calling it as an “aggression” as “a deliberately to stoke sectarian strife”. 

Sadr called on Iraqis to go out on “mass” demonstrations on Friday in Najaf, Karbala and all the provinces to protest against the incident, as well as raising picture of al-Zakzaky detainee and his assistant, Sheikh Muhammad Turi who was killed by the Nigerian authorities.

BAUCHI

Gathering at the Emir’s palace round about Bauchi were held by the Members of the Islamic Movement rising banners that says; “Release our Leader, #FreeZakzaky” in solidarity to the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.

A brief sermon was presented by the Amir of bauchi Malam Ahmad Yusuf Yashi who said: the brutal killing in Zaria by the Nigerian Army was planned already since and the cutout what is happening in Niger Delta and Biafra as among the fact that Nigeria should consider and take action on but they failed to do so and come to innocent and unarmed people with killing and injuring others with no reason.

Immediately after, the gathering was closed and the members were dispatched and went to Fudiyya for continuous prayer.

In 2014 three of Sheikh Zakzaky’s sons and thirty others were killed in cold blood, almost two years after no any action was taken.

According to a Shia spokesman, “Sheikh Zakzaky’s stand against Boko Haram and it’s root in western agenda which is being perpetrated by Nigerian Army is enough a reason to make the Sheikh and his movement enemy of Zionist and their international and local stooge.

“In the just concluded Arbaeen program Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky have well exposed the Nigerian Army of been responsible of the so-called Boko Haram insurgency by the command of their Zionist masters.

“The Chief of Army staff, Y. Burutai is a great liar and a great coward, that killed dozens of children arming themselves with stones and feeble, his shameless claim that the Shi’as blockage of road has to stop, that’s why he commanded his men to plunder, kill and arrest members of the movement without any legal justification, it is a big shame on this government and the Nigerian Army.

“At last we are calling the attention of World governments and other independent bodies, to take serious action on this issue.”
