Two Igbo don win Plateau State Local Council elections

Two Igbo youths, Mr. Austin Nwachukwu and Mr. Okoro Uzoma Anthony, don win councillorship seats for Plateau State Local Council elections on October 14, 2024.
Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) give certificates to 304 councilor’s-elect, including dem two.
Dem emerge winners afta di election wey happen recently, and na di commission present certificates to dem on Monday October 14.
PDP sef sweep all di 17 chairmanship seats for Plateau Local Government Elections
Announce di results:
- Langtang South: Nanfa Alhasan (PDP) win with 14,659 votes
- Quaanpan Local Government: Christopher Manship (PDP) win with 35,264 votes
Di two Igbo youths winners Mr. Nwachukwu and Mr. Anthony, make history for dia people. Congratulations to dem!
Mr. Nwachukwu wey come from Abia State don dey represent Tafawa Bela Ward for Jos North Local Government Area.
While Mr. Anthony, wey be indigene of Imo State, don become councillor for Vanderpuye Ward, still for Jos North Local Government Area.
Di Chairman Mr. Plangji Cishak of INEC headquarters for Jos, di state capital, congratulate di new councillors-elect on dia win on Wednesday. Him talk say dem try, and dem deserve am.
But, dem get some areas wey election no conclude, 21 wards to be precise.
Di councilors from dose areas no get certificate of return because of dat.
Na so di chairman take present certificates to 304 councilor’s-elect across di state, excluding dose 21 wards wey election no finish.
Dat commission don talk say dem go do rerun election on Monday to conclude di local government election wey happen on October 9.
But All Progressives Congress (APC), through dia spokesman, Mr. Shittu Bamaiyi, talk say dem neva take decision on di mata.
“we neva decide weda we go participate for di rerun of di election or not, but wen we take dat decision as party, we go surely make am public.”
Dis one dey come afta APC reject di election results wey PDP win all chairman positions for di 17 LGAs.
APC State Chairman, Mr. Rufus Bature, for press conference in Jos on Saturday, com yarn say di election results na scam.
