‘Vandalizing Tesla may attract 20-years jail term,’ says Trump

The United States President Donald Trump, has proposed a 20-year prison sentence for individuals convicted of vandalizing Tesla vehicles and facilities
He also suggested that such offenders could be sent to a notorious prison in El Salvador.
Trump made this known on Truth Social, condemning recent attacks on Tesla properties, which included Molotov cocktail incidents allegedly linked to the #TeslaTakedown movement.
According to him, those responsible should be treated as “sick terrorist thugs” and given lengthy jail terms.
The U.S. Justice Department has already charged these individuals for their alleged roles in the attacks.
The US Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed that the suspects are facing federal charges related to what has been described as domestic terrorism.
Trump, a vocal supporter of Elon Musk and Tesla has consistently backed the company, encouraging investment despite a 50% decline in Tesla’s stock value over the past year.
He recently purchased a Tesla vehicle and pledged support for other American businesses.
However, Musk’s involvement in the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) reforms has sparked controversy, with concerns over possible conflicts of interest.
Meanwhile, some Tesla owners have expressed discontent with Musk’s leadership, placing stickers on their cars that read, “I bought it before Elon went nuts.”
Amid the controversy, Trump maintained his stance, saying, “Perhaps they could serve their sentences in El Salvador’s prisons, which have gained fame for their ‘lovely’ conditions.”
The situation continues to generate debate, as legal actions progress against the suspects involved in the attacks.
El Salvador Prison
The notorious prison in El Salvador likely refers to the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), a mega-prison built by President Nayib Bukele to house gang members and criminals.
It is said to be located in Tecoluca, San Vicente, the facility is one of the largest and most secure prisons in the world, designed to hold over 40,000 inmates under strict conditions.
It has gained international attention for its harsh treatment of prisoners and its role in El Salvador’s crackdown on gang violence.
