FULL LIST : APC Releases Names of 47 Disqualified Senatorial Aspirants

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the names of 47 aspirants barred from participating in its senatorial primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.

The party, however, did not explain why the affected aspirants failed to secure clearance.

The list was contained in a statement issued on Monday by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, following the completion of the party’s screening exercise.

According to the APC, the exercise was conducted by designated screening committees in line with the party’s guidelines and internal procedures.

Despite confirming that the screening followed established rules, the party did not provide specific reasons behind the disqualification of the aspirants.

Among the notable names on the list are former Bayelsa East senator and media entrepreneur Ben Murray-Bruce, former Rivers deputy governor Ipalibo Banigo, businessman Tein Jack-Rich and Tamunobaabo Danagogo from Rivers State.

The disqualified aspirants cut across several states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Adamawa recorded two disqualified aspirants Hamish Idris and Abdurman Kwacham both from the North Senatorial District.

In Bayelsa, Donald Daunemigita (West), Ben Murray-Bruce (East) and Benson Agadaga (East) were affected.

Rivers State accounted for five names on the list, including Oyukaye Amachree, Danagogo, Jack-Rich, Banigo and Barry Balera Mwara.

Oyo also had several aspirants disqualified, among them Ademola Wasiu Alli, Wasiu Adegboyega Ajimobi, Kolapoboye Kola Daisi, Faozey Nurudeen, Hameed Repete and Akinremi Bolaji.

Zamfara recorded the highest number of disqualified aspirants, with seven names released by the party.

Others affected came from Anambra, Cross River, Delta, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Taraba and Yobe states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory.

The APC has yet to announce whether the affected aspirants would be given an opportunity to appeal the decision or seek fresh clearance before the primaries.
