Obidients endorse COPDEM-ADC alliance to reshape Nigeria’s political future

The Obidients Movement has fully backed the strategic alliance between COPDEM and ADC to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.

This partnership is considered a game-changer and offers a structured alternative to the Labour Party’s failing leadership.

Many Obidients believe the Labour Party has failed to uphold democratic values and effectively utilize the movement’s influence.

Mr. D.E., COPDEM’s Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, stated that aligning with ADC is a response to Labour Party’s failures.

According to the information made available to Diaspora digital media (DDM), he criticized the Labour Party’s leadership for neglecting its constitution and undermining democratic principles.

“This move between COPDEM and ADC is both timely and necessary,” Mr. D.E. stated.

“We cannot continue waiting for a party that has abandoned its structures and democratic responsibilities,” he added.

He urged Obidients who support real change to embrace this opportunity to build a stronger and sustainable platform.

A key aspect of this alliance is the creation of the Directorate for Mobilisation of Civil Societies and Progressive Organisations.

This directorate will strengthen grassroots engagement and provide Obidients with a structured platform to drive meaningful political change.

Its objectives include strengthening ADC as Nigeria’s leading platform for progressive forces.

It will also ensure grassroots and civil society participation in governance and mobilize all 36 states and the FCT.

The directorate will establish a disciplined, result-driven opposition that effectively challenges the status quo.

With Obidients supporting this alliance, COPDEM and ADC are expected to redefine opposition politics in Nigeria.

The Labour Party once enjoyed massive Obidient Movement support but lost credibility due to leadership crises and internal struggles.

Many Obidients now see ADC as a more reliable platform for achieving true progressive governance.

“The energy and commitment of Obidients must not go to waste,” Mr. D.E. emphasized.

“Through this partnership, we are building a formidable platform to challenge the ruling establishment,” he added.

COPDEM and ADC aim to provide Nigerians with a credible political alternative focused on accountability and democratic values.
