
The Member representing Michika constituency in the Adamawa House of Assembly, Honourable Ayuba Joseph Kwada (Depolis) over the weekend told journalists in Michika LGA to have a deliberate plans to consolidate in the state of emergency declared on Education and health by Gov. Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow.
Ayuba said this during a three days tour to over 35 primary and secondary schools of the constituency where he donated free uniforms to hundreds of primary school pupils, dozens of exercise books,desks,seats,cartons of chalks and plastics chairs.
According to him Michika education and health sectors are the most needed in human endeavour and the facilities of the duo sectors are dare need of intervention considering how badly were destroyed by insurgents in the constituency.
The effort of the lawmaker to rescue the ailing sectors he as a matter of urgency he roofed a two block room of delipidated Kamgiri Primary School in Michika.
The lawmaker also laid a foundation in Government Day secondary school (GDSS) Futu to built a standard laboratory to the school to enhance the performance students especially science students.
Some of the benefited schools are Nkatamya Primary school, Kuda primary school, Khourvi Primary school and Shika Primary school.
Others schools are Kalapta Primary school, Dlimi Primary school,Khour sama Tilli Primary school and EYN vi nursery,Michika central primary school and Michika Secondary.
The PTA Chairman of Dlimi Primary School, Alexander Wadzani Mamza said Hon. Ayuba has done what so many people who had the opportunity like his failed to do and they will give him all the support in his political ambition.
Ayuba further said that the quest for Governor Bindow to revive the health sector made him to organised a team of Medical Doctors to give free eyes treatment to people suffering with eyes related sicknesses.
According to Dr Abdulaziz who led the delegation said over three hundreds people have been treated and many others had their eyes operated.
“All the operations were successful.” He Said
While commending the efforts of the lawmaker, the Principal Medical officer (PMO) in charge of Michika general hospital and overseer of all the hospitals in the LGA, Dr Jacob Tizhe Zamani appreciates the efforts of the lawmaker.
According to him since the declaration of the state of emergency on health sector of the state by Governor Jibrila the lawmaker has shown effort to consolidate on the ongoing work the Governor is doing in the health sector.
Tizhe said this to hundreds of people trooped at the general hospital Wednesday,to have their eyes treated saying that the lawmaker has been displaying the spirit of sportsmanship to the hospital and the entire people of Michika.
“I’m not a politician and I can’t be one but the truth need to be told, since I resume duty seven months ago there is no any functional vehicle but the lawmaker came to our rescue by providing a call duty car, now it’s even the only utility car we have that is meeting the needs of the hospital.
“This Man deserve a good commendation for having the health needs of the people of Michika at heart, now over 200 hundreds people had their eyes operated, over 300 people were treated from various eyes ailments,ranging from cataract,glaucoma and eye problems caused by blood pressure or diabetics.” Tizhe said
One of the beneficiary of the free medical treatments who was interviewed immediately after he has been treated of a glaucoma, Mallam Garba Nuhu Said the member has done what many who had similar opportunities but failed to do.
“I have been billed to go for this eye treatment in Yola but because of financial constraints I couldn’t,my member today have washed away my tears now I can see clearly, drugs were given to me and with an Eye glass to aid my sight.
“I’m calling on all the people of Michika to wise up and give more support to Hon. Joseph Depolis, he has done what many have failed to do and for me is the best so far and I will forever support his political ambition.
“He has proven beyond reasonable doubts that is a good leader, when he was a councillor we’ve seen his giants strides, when he became the acting Chairman of Michika LGA for just few months he has set a record of works that are known to all to see.” Garba Said
Hon. Ayuba Joseph Kwada while addressing hundreds of patients waiting to be treated, assures the management of the hospital of his unrelenting support as far as the health of Michika people is concern.
He also donated another Car that will help in meeting up the need of emergencies situations of the general hospital.
