A Nigerian-born woman serving in the United States Army has made an emotional appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump, asking for help after she was reportedly denied a visa to bring her daughter from Nigeria to the United States.

The soldier, identified online as Uzamaka and known on TikTok as ada_amakassyq, said she has been separated from her daughter for about 10 years while working through the immigration process.

In an emotional video shared online, Uzamaka reportedly appealed directly to President Trump, asking him to intervene and help reunite her with her child.

The situation has reportedly become more urgent after her daughter recently fell seriously ill. According to Uzamaka, the child requires medical treatment that she believes is not readily available where she currently lives in Nigeria, adding to the distress caused by their prolonged separation.

Uzamaka said she has already taken steps through the immigration process and has sought assistance from people within the U.S. military. She reportedly also reached out to U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar for help as she continued trying to resolve the matter.

Despite her efforts, she said her daughter’s visa application was denied, leaving her facing the possibility of remaining separated from her child.

Her emotional appeal has resonated with viewers online, particularly because she is serving in the U.S. Army while simultaneously dealing with a deeply personal family crisis.

In her appeal, Uzamaka reportedly emphasized her commitment to the United States and her oath to serve the country, while asking that humanitarian considerations be taken into account in her daughter’s case.

The story has also generated discussion about the difficulties military families can face when immigration procedures separate parents from their children. Supporters have urged the relevant authorities to examine the circumstances of her case, particularly given the reported health concerns involving her daughter.

For Uzamaka, the issue goes beyond immigration paperwork. After approximately a decade apart from her child, she is now pleading for an opportunity to have her daughter with her, especially at a time when the child is reportedly dealing with serious health challenges.

Her direct appeal to President Trump has since attracted attention online, with many Nigerians and other viewers expressing sympathy and calling for a humanitarian solution.

The specific reasons for the visa denial and whether the case will receive further review remain unclear from the information currently circulating. Nevertheless, Uzamaka’s story has placed a deeply personal face on the often complicated immigration process, particularly for families separated across international borders.

As her appeal continues to circulate, attention will now be on whether U.S. immigration authorities or the White House responds to her request for assistance.
