Sen. Aniekan Bassey applauds Gov. Eno’s executive council appointments

Senator Aniekan Bassey of the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District has commended Governor Umo Eno for assembling a team of competent professionals to drive the ARISE Agenda.

Senator Bassey made the remark while interacting with newsmen shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers at the State Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo.

He expressed confidence in the Governor’s choices, emphasizing that the appointments reflect a commitment to effective governance and the fulfillment of his administration’s policy thrusts to the Akwa Ibom Project.

Senator Bassey urged the new appointees to roll up their sleeves and work diligently to complement the Governor’s efforts in infrastructural, economic, and human capital development.

“I sincerely thank His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, for nominating men and women of capacity and competence to serve in his administration. I have no doubt that their collective experience and expertise will contribute significantly to the realization of his vision for Akwa Ibom,” Senator Bassey stated.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Senator attended reception ceremonies organized in honor of some newly inaugurated Commissioners, including General Koko Essien (Rtd), Dr. Linus Nkang, and Dr Henry Archibong.

He used the opportunity to congratulate them and encouraged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor and the people of Akwa Ibom State.

Senator Bassey further maintained that Governor Umo Eno’s latest appointments mark a strategic step in strengthening his administration’s resolve to deliver on key developmental initiatives across various sectors.

He added that the newly sworn-in Commissioners and Special Advisers are expected to immediately assume their responsibilities and work towards the continued progress of Akwa Ibom State.
