About two million containers bearing goods worth well over 5 trillion Naira are presently stranded in various Ports located in Lagos, says Mr Joe Igbokwe.
Speaking to Elombah.com, Joe Igbokwe, who is the Chairman and CEO of Lagos State Wharf Landing Fee Collecting Authority said that bad roads are responsible for the ugly trend.
Mr Igbokwe, who also doubles as the Lagos State All Progressives Congress [APC] Publicity Secretary, lamenting the loss in financial resources as well as revenue, urged the state government to rise up to the challenge.
He urged the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration to do all humanly possible to ensure that the goods are dispersed speedily to their respective owners as that will ensure that the government purse will grow fatter.
Among those badly hit in the clogged containers saga are the four million Igbos who have dominated the state business environment and keep the government smiling to the banks regularly.
