House help reveals last conversation with late Konga CEO, Nick Imudia

A house help to the late former Executive Director of Nigerian e-commerce platform, Konga, Mr Nick Imudia, has revealed details of their last conversation before his death.

A close friend of the deceased who doesn’t want to be quoted according to Vanguard Newspaper, said the maid disclosed that Imudia handed her a piece of paper with five phone numbers, including his brother’s contact in the United States, a day before his death.

Imudia reportedly told her she would need the numbers “at the appropriate time.”

The maid narrated that after their discussion, Imudia went into the bathroom. Hearing the shower running for an extended period, she knocked on the door but received no response.

Later, a private guard informed her that something had happened to Imudia. Rushing downstairs, she found him in a distressing state and discovered the bathroom empty, with the shower still running.

The deceased’s family has requested the release of Imudia’s body for burial. They have dismissed the possibility of suicide, stating he showed no signs of stress or depression.

Meanwhile, detectives from the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigative Department in Yaba, Lagos, continue to investigate the cause of Imudia’s death and are expecting some individuals for interrogation.
