NNPCL warns job seekers against recruitment scams

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has warned job seekers against fraudulent recruitment advertisements circulating online.

The company clarified that it is not currently conducting any hiring exercises.

In an official statement posted on its verified X handle on Friday, NNPCL urged the public to disregard fake job offers.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports that the company emphasized that all legitimate job vacancies would be announced exclusively through its official website and verified social media platforms.

“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting,” the statement read.

“Official recruitment announcements will only be made through our website and verified social media platforms,” the company added.

NNPCL reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process based strictly on merit.

The company assured Nigerians that it does not require external assistance or third parties for hiring.

It warned that scammers might use fake job advertisements to exploit unsuspecting applicants.

The public was urged to avoid engaging with unofficial job postings that falsely claim to be from NNPCL.

The company advised job seekers to always verify information directly from its official platforms before taking any action.

“We advise the public to always verify information directly from our official platforms to avoid being misled by scammers,” NNPC Ltd. stated.

NNPCL assured Nigerians that whenever a recruitment exercise officially begins, the public will be duly informed.

The company reiterated that all employment opportunities would be communicated through credible and authorized platforms.

It also encouraged individuals to report suspicious recruitment advertisements falsely linked to NNPC Ltd.

NNPCL urged the public to alert relevant authorities about fraudulent job postings to prevent others from being deceived.

The management expressed concern over the increasing number of fake job offers circulating on various online platforms.
