Jimmy Adekoya, a former campus pastor and leader of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF) at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), has wedded his gay partner in the United States of America.
Mr. Adekoya, who graduated from the OOU, served as a preacher, music director, and President of RCF before graduating in 2019.
Many of his past colleagues at the fellowship and others who knew him expressed their shock at the news.
Some wondered what happened to the once vibrant preacher of the Gospel, while others suggested that poverty may have forced him to take the drastic action as he tried to secure his stay in the US.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Adekoya, has reacted to a barrage of criticism that trailed his controversial marriage.
He insinuated that he still loves Jesus and that he is only gay.
He wrote, “When you(r) only offense is being a gay man who loves Jesus.”
However, his reaction has drawn series of attacks from social media users.
