A man in 9th Mile, Enugu, has raised alarm over what he describes as repeated harassment and intimidation by unidentified individuals he claims are part of a government task force.

In an emotional outcry, the resident alleged that the group frequently arrives at his home accompanied by officers from the Nigeria Police Force, despite what he insists is a lack of any wrongdoing on his part. According to him, these visits often happen without prior notice and have left him feeling unsafe and targeted.

“They keep coming with the police and invading my house anytime they want for no reason,” he said, expressing frustration over what he believes is an abuse of authority. He also revealed that he has submitted several petitions to the police station, seeking intervention and clarity, but claims no meaningful action has been taken so far.

The situation escalated further when the man accused the officials of carting away his working tools items he says are essential to his livelihood. The alleged confiscation has not only disrupted his work but also deepened his concerns about the legitimacy of the operations being carried out.
