Fuel tanker explodes in Port Harcourt, killing many people.

According to a recent report from Rivers State’s capital city of Port Harcourt, an undetermined number of persons perished from burns sustained in a tanker explosion.

“After a fuel-loaded tanker exploded near the Eleme section of the East-West Road in the states, it was believed that the victims had died.”

According to the publication, at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, a tanker carrying petroleum goods exploded, causing damage to other cars in a traffic line.

The report stated that the event took place next to the Indorama Petrochemical Company, which is situated along the East-West Road’s Akpojo-Onne axis and serves as a route to several important national assets.

According to a witness cited in the article, “We heard two very loud sounds and people were shouting some minutes ago.” A tanker caught fire and exploded.

“The Petro-Chemical industry location is where the sound originated. I therefore noticed significant smoke and fire in the distance when I emerged.
