The industrial town of Nnewi was agog on Saturday, August 9, 2025, when the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the coming November 8, 2025, off-season Anambra State governorship election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and the Anambra South senatorial zone candidate in the August 16 run-off poll, Chief Azuka Okwuosa, stormed the town in a rally.
Prince Ukachukwu himself addressed the enthusiastic crowd of supporters that trooped out to receive him and the Anambra South senatorial zone candidate in the coming weekend’s senatorial run-off poll.
He assured Ndi Nnewi of quality representation, both at the federal and state levels, when he and Chief Okwuosa, a native of Nnewi Town, will team up to fix the dilapidated zone.
During the rally, Ukachukwu stated that leadership (governorship) was about the citizens and listening to them and their needs always.

According to him, he’s been in the business of investments, employment creation, money generation and touching people’s lives positively all his life.
He therefore appealed to all Anambra electorate to vote for him as APC governorship flagbearer on November 8, 2025, while on August 16, every voter within Aguata, Ekwusigo, Ihiala, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Orumba North and Orumba South Councils should troop out to vote APC’s Azuka Okwuosa.
He urged the electorate in the listed seven council areas to vote massively for APC in honour and memory of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the late last occupant of the seat.
That voting for APC senator and governor will instantly connect the State to the national political grid; for its massive developmental benefits.
Chief Okwuosa on his part, shared his plans for the citizens when he mounts the senatorial saddle.
Okwuosa emphasized that his goal was to give the electorates a listening ear and enhanced the quality of life in Nnewi and environs.
