Police authorities in Anambra State have arrested three members of an armed syndicate that targets Dangote Trailers plying the highways in the State.
In a statement made by the spokesman of the command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said that the police acting on a tip off invaded the hideout of the criminal elements at Nnokwa where three suspects were taken into custody for vandalizing two trailers.
The vandalized head of one of the trailers was recovered while the whereabout of the other is yet to be ascertained.
Ikenga said the suspects have been taken into custody for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has also directed State CID Awka to take over the case for comprehensive investigation and prosecution of anyone indicted in the crime.
