Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged Nigerian youths to shift from constant criticism of leaders to active involvement in building solutions.

In his devotional message titled “From Critic to Activist” from the Open Heavens Daily Devotional, Adeboye explained that true influence comes from purposeful action.

He stressed that protests and criticism may draw attention but will not bring long-term recognition or progress.

“Don’t just criticise things or people; become a part of the solution you desire to see,” he said.

“It is often said that statues are never built in honour of critics. Carrying placards and protesting may attract attention, but beyond that, you must grow to where you can recommend and even provide the solutions you demand.”

Adeboye drew lessons from the Bible to illustrate his point.

He cited Elijah, who began as a prophet confronting King Ahab but later became a vessel of God’s provision, sustaining a widow in her time of need.

He also referenced Moses, who attempted to fulfill his calling prematurely and ended up wandering in the wilderness for forty years before stepping fully into his divine assignment.

The cleric advised Nigerian youths to align passion with wisdom. “Beloved, be wise. God has ordained a glorious destiny for you, but unchecked zeal can delay its realization.

Don’t settle for making noise, build capacity. Let your enthusiasm be guided by knowledge and strategic action, so you become a true agent of change,” Adeboye said.

With more than five decades in ministry, Adeboye emphasized the need for young people to merge spiritual insight with practical wisdom.

He urged them to harness their energy to create meaningful and enduring transformation in Niger
